Custom Dressmaking Booking Information

Each custom dress is handcrafted & tailored to the specific measurements of each client. The prices quoted encompass:

  •  Labor
  • Pattern making
  • Sourcing high-quality fabrics and materials
  • Any other essential items needed to create the garment.

Please note that So Toi LLC does not accept refunds, returns, or exchanges for any custom garments produced.

Payment: For dresses $585.00 and below requires full payment at the first fitting. For dresses above $585.00 there is a non-refundable 70% cash payment towards your total dress cost & is required at your first fitting, with the remaining non-refundable 30% cash payment of your dress cost due at the fitting just before final pickup.  Payments toward your 70% cash payment are allowed following attending consultation & scheduling a fitting. This is our only payment arrangement for this service.

Consultations: All consultations are conducted via virtual online video chats, and access links will be sent to the email you provide. Please note that there is a non-refundable and non-transferable consultation fee. By scheduling and attending your consultation, you secure your spot. When you arrange a consultation to design your dress, a quote will be provided afterward. By scheduling any Virtual Consultation, you agree that you have read and understood all the information on this page. Fees are now applied to your dress total, refunds are not available if you decide to pass on our design services.

Fittings: Be aware that you may have 3-4 fittings, depending on the design, held either in-person or virtually for out-of-state clients (via videochat). In-person fittings are by appointment only at 530 Euclid Ave Suite 19, Cleveland, Ohio 44115 (5th Street Arcade Downtown Cleveland). Please allow time prior to your scheduled fitting to find designated street parking (10-15 min). For your fitting, please arrive at your scheduled fitting time, we recommend wearing fitted clothing and appropriate undergarments. You may bring up to two guests; please inform us in advance and provide their full names and relationships. 

The fitting schedule consists of:

  • 1st Fitting: Measurements taken, design discussion, and non-refundable 70% payment due in cash.
  • 2nd Fitting: Try on your base dress (unfinished) to assess fit and note necessary alterations; the remaining non-refundable 30% payment is due in cash.
  • 3rd Fitting/Dress Pickup: Try on your completed dress, sign the garment release form, and take your dress. If alterations are needed, they will be completed at this fitting if time allows; otherwise, another final fitting will be scheduled.

4 Fittings include:

  • 1st Fitting: Measurements taken, design discussion, and non-refundable 70% payment due in cash.
  • 2nd Fitting: Mock fitting with a muslin dress replicating your dress silhouette; fabric and appliques are reviewed if available.
  • 3rd Fitting: Try on your base dress (unfinished) to assess fit and note necessary alterations; and pay remaining 30% in cash.
  • 4th Fitting/Dress Pickup: Try on your completed dress, sign the release form, and take your dress. If alterations are needed, they will be completed at this fitting if time allows; otherwise, another final fitting will be scheduled.

After the first fitting, materials will be ordered. Two 3"x3" fabric swatches will be provided once your fabric arrives. Material arrival times vary, with standard materials taking 2-4 weeks or longer and custom items 4-8 weeks or longer. Material or design changes cannot be made after your first fitting.

Design Changes: At your first fitting, confirm your design and discuss any changes you wish to make. Depending on the change, a new quote may be necessary and must be signed, accepted, and paid for during this fitting. After the first fitting, production begins, and no changes can be made to color, fabric, style, silhouette, appliques, or rhinestone placement.

Add-ons: Any modifications or additions to your design that were not previously agreed upon will incur additional charges, payable immediately. Acceptance of add-ons depends on factors such as availability and production time. We do not accept add-ons if they do not align with our capabilities.

Fitting Scheduling: Following your first fitting, scheduling for subsequent fittings will occur via appointment links sent via text. Please only schedule fittings when instructed to do so to avoid cancellations. Our scheduling link displays all of our availability.

Cancelling/Rescheduling Fittings: If you need to cancel, please text or email us as soon as possible or 24-48 hours prior. Rescheduling instructions will be provided via text or email. First fittings can only be rescheduled once; further rescheduling may result in a new quote. Same-day rescheduling is not available. Delays in scheduling can impact production timelines and may incur rush fees.

Late Policy: Arriving on time for fittings is crucial to ensure a properly conducted fitting. Arriving 15 minutes late or more necessitates rescheduling, as we cannot accommodate late arrivals with other fittings scheduled. No-shows to the first fitting will result in forfeiting your status as a client; subsequent no-shows incur a $50 fee.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: No refunds are offered for any payments to So Toi LLC. Custom garments are non-refundable, and cancellations for any reason will not result in a refund. It is your responsibility to voice all concerns during fittings. Orders abandoned after 30 days will be resold.

All payments are non-refundable, with no returns, refunds, or exchanges for design services. Shipping and pickup dates are estimated and will be discussed during production. A home address is required for potential shipping or delivery. Signatures are mandatory for all shipments, and So Toi is not liable for shipping issues.

Turnaround Times & Cost: The Cost of your dress is provided via quote sent to your email following your inquiry or consultation. When we accept your booking, we agree to complete your dress by the specified time needed.

  • Our Bespoke Dresses for Special Occasions such as birthdays, photoshoots, etc. production can take 4 to 8 weeks depending on the design.   • Photos/videos taken during fittings or in dresses may be used by So Toi.

  • Appointment availability is based on our operating hours; rescheduling delays production.
  • Color differences may occur due to lighting, and shedding of embellishments is normal.
